Monster Blaster 3.0 Review

Monster Blaster 3.0 Review – How powerful is this speaker?

The Monster Blaster 3.0 is a really powerful Bluetooth speaker that can deliver up to 120W of sound performance – it comes equipped with 4 full-range 15W drivers and a 60 watt woofer for extended bass response. This speaker is essentially built like a tank with Bluetooth NFC pairing and IPX5 water-resistance, making them suitable for outdoor use or for blasting music at poolside parties. The Monster Blaster 3.0 also comes with a USB charge out feature that doubles as a smartphone charger and allows you to use the speaker as a power bank, which is really convenient especially if you are taking this speaker with you on outdoor adventures or camping.

The Monster Blaster has a pretty sleek and large boombox speaker design that feels portable and easy to carry around; it comes with a nice top carry handle which you can use to bring the speaker outdoors or to open party gatherings. This large Bluetooth speaker also comes with a built-in rechargeable battery that delivers up to 12 hours of continuous playtime on a single charge and has a storage capacity of 5,200mAh. Finally, this speaker allows you to customize your EQ settings and switch between indoor or outdoor EQ modes to optimize the sound performance, which is really good if you want to control the sound performance depending on the environment. The outdoor mode allows you to blast music with much more powerful volume, allowing you to power a large outdoor party with loud music and deep punchy notes.

Sound Performance

The Monster Blaster 3.0 delivers extremely loud sound performance which rivals the JBL Boombox 2 in terms of volume output. While the JBL Boombox 2 delivers 160W of output power, the Monster Blaster 3.0 delivers up to 120W with its 4 full-range drivers and one 60W woofer. With that said, the Monster Blaster 3.0 can still get loud enough to power an entire pool party without any issues, and you can also set the EQ mode to outdoors to get much louder and crisper sound. You can also hear the midranges clearly on this speaker which is quite surprising; the Monster Blaster 3.0 delivers really nice highs and midrange that you can hear. We played a couple of music soundtracks through these speakers including EDM and rock and the speaker can produce a tonne of bass without any distortion at higher volume levels. Vocal performances sound crisp and very clear even at max volume levels, and you can hear the stereo separation between the right and left speaker drivers which is pretty cool. The bass on the Monster Blaster 3.0 is rock solid, and delivers some of the deepest and most punchy bass that we’ve ever heard from a portable speaker that can really rattle your windows at full volume.

The Monster Blaster 3.0 is incredibly large and big, and designed like a tank. It can withstand the outdoor elements and is designed to be IPX5 water-resistant, allowing you to take the speaker outdoors under the rain or by the poolside without any issues. This speaker features a sleek and modern Boombox design and comes with a top carry handle for easy portability, allowing you to bring this speaker around easily. We liked the fact that the Monster Blaster 3.0 supports multiple input options including Bluetooth 5.0, auxiliary input and microphone input for karaoke – you can use this speaker as a portable PA sound system. It also comes with a large 5,200 mAh battery that doubles as a power bank and allows you to charge your smartphone devices via USB on the go.

Furthermore, this speaker comes with two environmental EQ modes – outdoor and indoor – which automatically adjusts the EQ settings and tailors the sound performance accordingly. In outdoor mode, the Monster Blaster 3.0 pumps out much louder volume and bass, and you can hear the difference in loudness with this EQ mode enabled. When indoor mode is enabled, the speaker delivers more clarity on the upper midrange and highs without compromising the sound quality – although it is not as loud as the outdoor EQ settings.

The entire speaker comes with a 60-watt woofer, 4 full-range 15 watt drivers and 2 passive radiators which provide a wide soundstage with crisp highs and good separation. The bass on this speaker is actually much deeper compared to the JBL Boombox 2 due to the dedicated 60W woofer, and the bass hits really hard and punches deep especially with EDM, rock and hip-hop music genres.

The Verdict?

The Monster Blaster 3.0 is an extremely powerful Bluetooth speaker that rivals the JBL Boombox 3 in terms of sound performance. While it is not as loud as the JBL Boombox 3, it delivers up to 120 watts of outdoor power which is pretty incredible considering how compact this speaker actually is. We particularly liked the fact that this speaker comes with a 60 watt subwoofer that delivers deep punchy bass response, making EDM and rock music genres sound very fun and engaging to listen to. This speaker shines especially when it comes to powering large outdoor parties and the level of bass that you get with this speaker is comparable with the JBL Boombox 3 – it is rock solid and goes very deep, and is the kind of bass that you can actually feel on your skin. Furthermore, the Monster Blaster 3.0 is IPX5 water-resistant and comes with a carry handle for easy portability. It also features a sleek and modern looking Boombox design which makes this speaker a fashion statement whenever you bring it outdoors; the buttons are also located at the right side of the speaker and allow you to adjust the settings on the go.

Overall, we have no doubt that the Monster Blaster 3.0 is an extremely loud and powerful Bluetooth speaker that delivers bass on par with the JBL Boombox 3, and we highly recommend them for their bass and incredible 120W of sound quality.
