The Uxbridge Voice is also equipped with a dual microphone array with acoustic noise cancellation for far field voice interaction which provides smart voice recognition – the speaker can pick up your voice even when the music is turned on. The speaker is equipped with a single Class D 30W amplifier for both the woofer and the tweeter and you can use the Marshall voice app to control your music or tweak the EQ settings. Overall, it’s a small and compact smart Bluetooth speaker that works great with Alexa and we highly recommend them if you need a smart home speaker.

In terms of sound quality, the Marshall Uxbridge provides decent sound performance with really nice highs and decent bass performance. While the speaker only has 30Ws of power for the woofer and tweeter, we felt that this speaker delivers really clean sound performance at any volume level and you can push up the volume on this speaker to maximum levels without hearing much distortion. At low volume levels, the Marshall Uxbridge speaker delivers consistently clean sound performance with good bass; the sound does not taper off at lower volume levels. We played a couple of EDM and rock music soundtracks on the Tufton speaker and they sounded really clear with nice beats with decent bass performance. While the Tufton speaker is not as loud as compared to the Acton III or the Stanmore III speakers, it does deliver really clean sound and is great for streaming music at home.

The Marshall Uxbridge Voice has a small and compact design and retains the design of a Marshall amp with a vintage aesthetic. This speaker comes with a top control panel with brass plated knobs for you to adjust the volume, treble and bass ranges, as well as a button to mute or unmute the microphone. The speaker connects to your home Wi-Fi network for music streaming and supports Airplay 2, Spotify Connect or Bluetooth 4.2 if you want to stream music directly from your smartphone device. The Marshall Uxbridge supports Alexa and you can control the speaker using your voice – it will automatically recognize your voice commands. You can even use the Tufton to dim the lights, ask for the latest news or check what’s on the TV with a single voice command. You can also fine-tune the music performance using the controls on the speaker.

The Verdict? The Marshall Uxbridge Voice is a really versatile smart home speaker that you can use with Alexa and play music directly from Spotify. This speaker connects directly with your home Wi-Fi network and also supports AirPlay 2 for multi-room speaker connectivity. We really liked the sound performance of the Marshall Uxbridge speaker – it delivers crystal clear highs, smooth midranges and decent bass performance. While it’s not as loud as the Stanmore III or Acton III, it does deliver consistently clean sound performance with a 30W power output. It also features Marshall’s vintage amp design and looks really aesthetic when placed in a living room or TV desk.
