1. JBL GTO609C Car Speaker System

JBL GTO609C Car Speaker System

The JBL GTO609C are some of the best JBL car speakers you can find that comes as a full component speaker set. We were very impressed with the frequency range that these speakers produce – with crystal clear highs, clear midranges and powerful punchy bass. They are the perfect speakers to replace your car OEM speakers and will not disappoint.

We really liked the fact that these speakers are low-impedance, with an impedance rating of only 3 ohms. This compensates for the undersized wires found in many cars and can make the most of every watt that your car stereo system can deliver.

With that said, we would recommend amping these speakers for better sound performance if you want greater sound and louder volume.

Sound quality wise, it’s hard to go wrong with these speakers. The sound is legit and the midbass response is excellent, while the lower midrange is accurate. The tweeters are accurate and deliver superb vocal performance.

With proper installation and a good car channel amplifier, the JBL GTO609Cs deliver some of the best car audio performance we’ve heard with crystal clear sound and loud volume, making them excellent picks for any car sound system that requires more volume and bass.

These speakers have a power handling of 25 watts RMS with a 75 watt peak power, and are loud enough to power your car with clean music performance. These speakers are ideal for replacing your car stock speakers and they are long lasting and durable; they also deliver loud sound performance with a sensitivity output of 89dB and an impedance of 2.3 ohms, which means that your car’s factory head unit would be able to easily power them straight out of the box. They are very easy to install and fit into virtually any car coaxial speaker cut out at the door or at the rear of the car.

Compared with other JBL speakers that we have tested, the JBL GX328 3-1/2” speakers really deliver crystal clear highs and vocal performances. The JBL GX328 gets extremely loud, and you can push the volume up on these speakers without hearing any distortion. Vocal performances sounded clean with nice stereo imaging, and you get crisp highs that sound smooth without any harshness at higher volume levels. The midrange and lower-bass frequency ranges sound present and tight, and they can make EDM and rock music performances sound tight and punchy even without a dedicated car subwoofer. However, if you want to add more bass to your car speaker setup, you can also consider adding the JBL SUBBP12AM which is a 12” amplified subwoofer to add very nice lows and bass with plenty of depth to your car speaker system. The JBL SUBBP12AM complements the JBL GX328 coaxial speakers really well and delivers nice volume output control.

Overall, the JBL GX328 3-1/2” coaxial car speakers are some of the best JBL speakers we have tested that delivers a good combination of highs, midranges and lower-end bass frequencies. They shine when it comes to pure volume output and the highs; they deliver crisp highs with very clean vocal performances that sound rich and engaging. You also get a pretty good stereo image when using the JBL GX328 speakers and decent separation between the right and left speaker channels. These speakers work straight out of the box and can pair with your car’s head unit, or you can also use a dedicated amplifier if you want to get more volume out of these speakers. 5. JBL CLUB6520 Coaxial Car Speakers

JBL CLUB6520 Coaxial Car Speakers

The JBL CLUB6520 coaxial speakers are some of the best JBL car speakers you can find that deliver full-range sound performance. These are high-sensitivity speakers with 150 watts peak power and a plus one woofer cone for deeper bass. They are also low impedance (3 ohms) and can connect directly to your car OEM audio sound system.

The great thing about the CLUB6520 is that they are highly sensitive speakers and allow you to get good volume out of your car system. They are only 3 ohm, so even cheap factory wiring will power these speakers from your car factory settings. We recommend running an amplifier through these speakers for better load balancing and sound performance.

The speakers sound extremely crisp and clear. They do require a period of a few days to properly “break-in”, but once they do break-in, you can hear the bass clearly with a good level of thump. These speakers are built to handle high power and will take some time to adjust to using only deck power.

One thing to note when installing these speakers is to use the crossovers provided. You’ll need to take care in wiring the crossover for them to sound as accurate as possible.

6. JBL CS762 Coaxial Car Audio Loudspeakers

JBL CS762 Coaxial Car Audio Loudspeakers

If you are looking to upgrade your factory car speakers, the JBL CS762 speakers are a great choice. The speakers have a power handling of 45 watts RMS and peak power of 135W, and can go very loud if you push them hard enough with a dedicated power amp.

The sound performance of these speakers is incredibly crisp. We were really impressed with the bass output and the overall clear sound from these speakers. JBL did a great job with the sound quality of these speakers at this price point. While the CS762 does have foam surrounds, they do not sound that different from the “higher-end” JBL speakers with rubber surrounds.

The only limitation with the CS762 speakers is the amount of power that these can handle, with a peak power of 135Ws. They do very well on car head units, with high sensitivity and good frequency response (with a range of 55 Hz to 20 kHz).

10. JBL GT7 Coaxial Car Speakers

JBL GT7 Coaxial Car Speakers

The JBL GT7 are really nice JBL car speakers that you can find on a budget. These speakers have an RMS power handling of 90 watts per pair, or 270 watts peak per pair. They can be installed with your car stereo system and can run on low-deck power (around 30-45 RMS), and yet deliver crisp and crystal clear sound performance.

You’ll be hard pressed to find other JBL car speakers as this price level that can deliver the clarity and sound performance of the GT7s. If you put enough power into this speaker through a dedicated amp, you will get even better sound performance and much louder sound.

Like all other JBL speakers, the GT7s require some time to be properly broken in. It took around 2 months before these speakers start to round off and sound much better with deeper bass. The sound remains consistently clear even at high volumes without distortion.
