The JBL GTO609C are some of the best JBL car speakers you can find that comes as a full component speaker set. We were very impressed with the frequency range that these speakers produce – with crystal clear highs, clear midranges and powerful punchy bass. They are the perfect speakers to replace your car OEM speakers and will not disappoint.
We really liked the fact that these speakers are low-impedance, with an impedance rating of only 3 ohms. This compensates for the undersized wires found in many cars and can make the most of every watt that your car stereo system can deliver.
With that said, we would recommend amping these speakers for better sound performance if you want greater sound and louder volume.
Sound quality wise, it’s hard to go wrong with these speakers. The sound is legit and the midbass response is excellent, while the lower midrange is accurate. The tweeters are accurate and deliver superb vocal performance.
With proper installation and a good car channel amplifier, the JBL GTO609Cs deliver some of the best car audio performance we’ve heard with crystal clear sound and loud volume, making them excellent picks for any car sound system that requires more volume and bass.

Vocals sound absolutely stunning on these speakers with very clear and crisp sound. The volume gets very loud and you can turn on the volume on these speakers without hearing any distortion.
Furthermore, these speakers are compatible with low-impedance car stereo systems. It has a 2 ohm impedance for use with legacy car audio systems and has a 300 watt peak power handling.

Mounting these speakers into the car is easy and straightforward. You can fit them directly into the factory holes without extra cutting (6×9 type holes). While these speakers can be powered by your car head unit due to its low impedance, they would definitely benefit from the addition of a car stereo amp.

The JBL CLUB6520 coaxial speakers are some of the best JBL car speakers you can find that deliver full-range sound performance. These are high-sensitivity speakers with 150 watts peak power and a plus one woofer cone for deeper bass. They are also low impedance (3 ohms) and can connect directly to your car OEM audio sound system.
The great thing about the CLUB6520 is that they are highly sensitive speakers and allow you to get good volume out of your car system. They are only 3 ohm, so even cheap factory wiring will power these speakers from your car factory settings. We recommend running an amplifier through these speakers for better load balancing and sound performance.
The speakers sound extremely crisp and clear. They do require a period of a few days to properly “break-in”, but once they do break-in, you can hear the bass clearly with a good level of thump. These speakers are built to handle high power and will take some time to adjust to using only deck power.
One thing to note when installing these speakers is to use the crossovers provided. You’ll need to take care in wiring the crossover for them to sound as accurate as possible.
There are some helpful videos on the JBL website if you need help with setting up these coaxial speakers.

If you are looking to upgrade your factory car speakers, the JBL CS762 speakers are a great choice. While they aren’t the most expensive, they still sound very good, and can be used together with low power amplifiers. The speakers have a power handling of 45 watts RMS and peak power of 135W, and can go very loud if you push them hard enough with a dedicated power amp.
The sound performance of these speakers is incredibly crisp. We were really impressed with the bass output and the overall clear sound from these speakers. JBL did a great job with the sound quality of these speakers at this price point. While the CS762 does have foam surrounds, they do not sound that different from the “higher-end” JBL speakers with rubber surrounds.
The only limitation with the CS762 speakers is the amount of power that these can handle, with a peak power of 135Ws. They do very well on car head units, with high sensitivity and good frequency response (with a range of 55 Hz to 20 kHz).
These speakers can fit into both the front and rear car doors (usually) without any additional trimming. The CS762 speakers can go very loud without any distortion, and sound much brighter the louder they get. The bass is pretty decent and its overall a very well-rounded speaker.

The GX628 has a nice frequency range of 50Hz to 21 kHz and comes with a plus one woofer cone to improve sensitivity while reducing distortion. The JBL Stadium GTO 620s are designed to deliver more bass and louder sound. These are some of the best JBL speakers to get if you want a car audio speaker system that comes with grilles, adapter rings, foam gaskets with an installation kit.
In terms of sound performance, the GTO 620 speakers deliver quite a lot of bass. The sound quality is loud and crystal clear, and you get crisp highs with detailed midranges with these speakers. Compared with other JBL car speakers, the GTO 620s come equipped with rubber surrounds and Plus One glass fiber cone woofers. They also have oversized 35mm woofer voice coils and edge-driven soft dome tweeters for higher quality sound performance.
The great thing about the GTO 620s is that they have a 2 ohm low-impedance design, so you can power them using your original car stereo sound system. That said, some amplification will greatly boost the sound performance of these speakers.

The JBL GT7 are really nice JBL car speakers that you can find on a budget. These speakers have an RMS power handling of 90 watts per pair, or 270 watts peak per pair. They can be installed with your car stereo system and can run on low-deck power (around 30-45 RMS), and yet deliver crisp and crystal clear sound performance.
You’ll be hard pressed to find other JBL car speakers as this price level that can deliver the clarity and sound performance of the GT7s. If you put enough power into this speaker through a dedicated amp, you will get even better sound performance and much louder sound.
Like all other JBL speakers, the GT7s require some time to be properly broken in. It took around 2 months before these speakers start to round off and sound much better with deeper bass. The sound remains consistently clear even at high volumes without distortion.
Installing these speakers is fairly quick – they are designed to fit inside most car doors and all you have to do is to wire them up. They feature a plus one cone and foam surrounds for sturdy sound performance (from our experience, there’s no noticeable difference between foam and rubber surrounds, apart from durability).
